Who we are
Malaysia HBOT Directory is an information directory of hyperbaric oxygen therapy facilities in Malaysia, operated from Malaysia.
What we collect
We collect only what you type into a form on this site:
- Contact form (on the contact page) - your name, email, phone, subject, message, and the centre the message is about where you name one. Use this form to report a wrong detail on a listing, a wrong phone number or address, or a centre that is missing.
- Centre submission form (on the submit a centre page) - the facility details you supply, plus your name, email and role so we can verify the submission.
Each form submission is stored with the date and the IP address it came from. The IP is kept only to identify abusive or automated submissions.
We do not use analytics, advertising or third-party tracking scripts on this site. Nothing is shared with Google Analytics, Meta or any similar service.
How we use what you give us
We use it for these purposes and no others:
- To answer your enquiry, and where the enquiry is about a particular centre, to pass it to that centre so they can answer you.
- To check and publish a facility listing you have submitted.
- To keep the directory accurate, by following up on corrections you send us.
- To identify abusive or automated form submissions.
We do not build a marketing list, we do not profile visitors, and we do not use your details to sell you anything.
Consent and lawful basis
We process personal data under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010. Where you fill in the contact form or the submit a centre form, you are giving consent for us to use those details for the purpose that form describes.
Cookies
One cookie is set: the PHP session cookie, which keeps the anti-forgery token that stops your form being submitted from another site, keeps an administrator logged in, and lets us count a repeated tap on the same contact button once rather than several times. It expires when you close your browser. There are no advertising or analytics cookies.
Data security
No website or transmission over the internet can be guaranteed completely secure. We take reasonable measures, but we cannot promise absolute security, and you should not send us anything highly sensitive through a web form. Never send clinical details or medical records through the enquiry form; contact the facility directly instead.
External content
Facility pages embed a Google Maps frame, built from the facility's postal address. Loading that frame means your browser contacts Google, and Google's own privacy terms apply to that request. Nothing you type on this site is sent to Google.
Your rights
Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 gives you rights over personal data held about you, including access and correction. To ask what we hold, correct it, or have it deleted, use the contact form and tell us which message you mean.
Listing information about a facility - name, address, published phone numbers, clinical scope - is business contact information published for public benefit, not personal data about an individual. If you believe a listing names an individual in a way it should not, tell us and we will review it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes, and continuing to use the site means you accept the version published here at the time.
